Stuck in Indiana before Vital Records?
Pre-1882 Indiana Births
From Secondary Sources
Vol. II

Samples from Vol. I
The second volume of this series, compiled by
Certified Genealogist Dawne Slater-Putt, comprises more than 10,000 births that took place
in Indiana before recording of births was required by law.
These were culled from a wide variety of mostly secondary sources, including county histories
(from both Indiana and other states), funeral home records, genealogical periodicals, obituaries,
and more. Each entry potentially includes the following information: Person’s name, date of birth,
county of birth, father’s name and mother’s maiden name. The perfect-bound volume includes a full
index to mothers, as well as a complete list of sources so that the researcher may check the
original source for additional information, and to judge its accuracy. Remember: These are
secondary sources!
Special Offer: Volume I & II package at $45.00
