Dawne Slater-Putt, CG, BA, MA, MLS
Dawne is a graduate of Ball State University, Muncie, Indiana (Journalism and American History),
and Indiana University, Bloomington (Library Science).
She formerly was a reference librarian in the Historical Genealogy Department of the
Allen County Public Library in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
She is a Director for the Federation of Genealogical Societies (FGS) and writes the
Ethnic/International column for the FGS FORUM.
She is currently President of the Indiana Genealogical Society and was editor of the IGS's
quarterly journal, the Indiana Genealogist, for its first five volumes.
She is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists,
the Board for Certification of Genealogists,
the Genealogical Speakers Guild,
and the National Genealogical Society,
as well as the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution.
Jennifer Doerflein Hines, BA, MLS
Jennifer is a graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington (History and Library Science).
She formerly was the Periodical Source Index Project Supervisor for the Allen County
Public Library Foundation in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
She currently is an instructor with the Fort Wayne Community Schools Neighborhood Connection,
teaching classes in beginning family history research and using the Internet for genealogy research.
She is a member of the Genealogical Speakers Guild and other genealogical organizations.
